I got this for my daughter and I think the design is lovely. I love that the shirt has built in shorts that are soft and discrete. My picture is a bit wrinkly but only because my daughter doesn't fit in them yet. They do have adjustable waist straps inside the skirt, but my daughter still doesn't fit fully without having them all the way adjusted. She is 8 years old, she is about 40% for bmi for kids age (meaning she is only a bit lighter than kids her age) and about 70% in height (meaning she is taller than average for her age). With both those combine your have to think about her being taller and a little skinnier than most 8 year olds. This would typically fit pretty true to size, she's just slightly taller and skinnier than most kids her age.
