The sheets are wonderful. Soft, quality fabric, excellent fit. However, if you're looking for a pure white, these aren't for you: the white is ivory/cream.I live in the arctic North Country. Later this week, it will be -5 degrees. It is cold. And after reading all of these reviews for these fantastic sheets and realizing my other flannel sheets had seen much better days and living in the rural area where they ran out of flannel sheets probably a month ago at local stores, I bought the sheets. I splurged because I am recovering from artificial disc replacement surgery after a disc herniation about a year ago. So I wanted nice sheets and I figured $40 for a set of queen flannel sheets was something I could indulge in after neurosurgery being a college professor with a crap ton of student loan debt. And a dear aunt died last week and so I also indulged in retail therapy. And so I was super excited after getting a ride home after class to see the package hanging from my front door from a plastic bag because my FedEx person is awesome and didn't leave my cardboard box in a snowdrift because I can't currently shovel my walk because I can't lift over 10 lbs. And I had had an additionally bad day because my grandma died this morning in my home state about 1000 miles because the universe has decided to crap on me specifically this month and I can't make the funeral because I'm not cleared to drive yet, let alone fly. And so I carried my suspiciously light box indoors and opened it. And there was the cute bag I read about and 2 flannel pillow cases. Nice flannel pillow cases. Not $40 flannel pillow cases. And I recognize that this is a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things and realistically at the end of the day the warehouse workers that pack and ship have a much harder life than I do, but I'm just annoyed and venting. So now, I'm going to have to squeeze ink out of my printer that I still haven't gotten my stuff together to get more ink for, package my $40 flannel pillow cases up and bring them with me, with my laptop, and other stuff to work, in 3 feet of snow, send it off, back to Amazonland, and wait another week (hopefully) in the rural tundra for some flannel sheets. Because life. Also, I rated the material quality of the pillow cases as 4 stars because they felt nice. And I'm kinda hoping I get to actually try them out at some point in the near future. Maybe.Update: I got the sheets and I love them. Also, they have a label for easy bed making. Mind = Blown. Bought another set.Super soft, great quality flannel sheet, very comfortable. Love it.BUT, I have a reproach, I bought a twin XL and the sizing is a little small. I explain, usually the top sheet for a twin is 66x96 and for a twin XL 66X102, but here for the twin XL, the top sheet is the size of a regular twin 66X96, which got you a very short return in top of your covers, this sheet need to be 6 inches longer to be perfect. For the fitted sheet, the longer is ok and I get a decent return under my only 8 inches deep mattress , but the wide side is a little short, I got a return under my mattress of about 3 inches on each side of the bed, Ideally I would need 5 inches minimum return on each side.So in this particular twin XL size, Stone & beam should be a little more generous in the sizing to be perfect.Even if I love the flannel quality and softness, I give a general 4 stars only, because of the size problem for the twin XL. I am pretty sure , looking at the information for the other sizes, King, Queen, Regular twin, that those sizes doesn't have this problem, but Twin XL is particular, and the company have to review their size for sure!I need a second set, but I hesitate to reorder, because of this problem.These are the softest sheets I have ever felt I have only washed them twice so far so I can't comment on durability they are a little tin for my liking but I love the fit and the feel if they hold up to a couple more washings I am going to buy more.My sweet man insists on sleeping on flannel. Yes, hot and expensive flannel. Threshold (Target) no longer makes the soft and lightweight sheets we'd come to love, so the search was on. I tried a brand that starts with M, and they immediately pilled after the first washing and never recovered. After waking up covered in fuzzes too many times, I finally came back to Amazon to find something better. Lo and behold, Stone & Beam popped up. Are they more expensive than the other two brands I'd tried? Yes, almost by two-fold. Are they flipping fantastic? Yes indeed!These sheets are soft, comfortable, and fit our king size bed perfectly (a first compared to the other two). The packaging was simple, no extra cardboard intertwined in the sheets to recycle, cute drawstring bag I can use for anything. And they washed up like a dream. I did hang dry them instead of running through the dryer, but I'm super pleased with these so far. Great quality, so I'm sure they'll hold up over time. If you need flannel sheets for cold winters or a picky spouse, these are it!I fell in love with flannel sheets years ago when I got Pinzon Cotton flannel sheets, and wanted some for another bed. These are more-or-less as nice.Unfortunately the GSM (grams per square meter, a.k.a. gram flannel weight) of these sheets was not in the product description. So I took a gamble and ordered them anyway. Before washing, I weighed the top sheet on a scale. 748 grams. I then multiplied the top sheet dimensions (96" x 66" based on specs, as I got the Twin XL set) and converted to square meters. 4.087734 square meters. The GSM should therefore be 748/4.087734 which is almost exactly 183. So 183 GSM. So I figure these are actually specced at 180 GSM, particularly considering that some fiber is lost with every run through the laundry.I was looking for some new flannel sheets, and saw a lot of products that were filled with reviews bemoaning the bad pilling, massive lint shedding, or even just falling apart in the wash.Not so with these, thus far. 5 or so washes on them, very minimal pilling, and about as much lint as one would expect from brand new fluffy flannel sheets. The amount of lint has decreased a bit each wash, and the sheets don't look any worse for wear at all.Very happy with these for the price.We loved these sheets so much to begin with, but after washing them 3-4 times, the color began to fade in certain areas and create this horrible splotchiness. I thought it was our detergent (even though it is all natural/gentle and never affects any of our other things), so I bought ANOTHER SET! I changed detergents just to make sure, to another a gentle, organic soap that never harms anything else, and after 3-4 washes the same thing happened. So I wasted over 200$ of my hard earned money, trying to buy winter sheets for my family and ended up supporting a company whose products are apparently junk. I will never buy from Stone & Beam again.I had never used flannel sheets before and they are so comfortable. They are thick sheets, feel like very good quality. Personally, I find that I sleep much better with these flannel sheets as compared to my previous cotton sheets.De excelente calidad, lo encontré a gran precio el día que lo compre, tiene bastante algodón, es suave y fresca.La tela es muy suave, cuando las lavo no cambia su textura. Better than I expected even after washing, so much so I'm ordering another set. Colour is light very nice grey, goes with most everything. Highly recommend!
